Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard Jr. is under investigation and is up for re-election in November.  He's hoping he'll get the black vote by throwing this police officer under the bus.

This officer did everything by the book, how he was taught.  It's tragic that Rayshard Brooks died, but it was his own fault.

This officer did not go out that morning to kill a black man, nor any man for that matter.  He was courteous to Brooks until he went to arrest him and Brooks resisted.  Brooks then proceeded to assault both officers eventually taking a police issue taser from one of the officers.  As he ran, and was pursued by the officer (as per department policy), Brooks turned and fired the taser at the officer.  The officer, in that flash instant, would not have been able to identify what Brooks had in his hand nor fired.  As trained, the officer returned fire, striking and killing Brooks.

There was no pre-meditation, no desire to murder anyone.  Brooks is the only one at fault for his own death.

Officer Garrett Rolfe's attorney should be requesting a change of venue and a new prosecutor.  DA Howard, as part of his current re-election campaign, said, "No one has prosecuted more cops than I have anywhere in the country ...."   Yes, he said that.  That makes him prejudiced against Rolfe.
