Today’s blog – The Georgia Senate Run Off Election

I remember the first time I voted as an American Citizen.  I was excited and had the jitters.  My vote that day, one way or the other, was going to be part of the history books.  I was helping shape history.

Or so I thought.

Today, January 5th, 2021, I went and voted in the Georgia Senate Runoff election.  One that will most certainly shape history for decades to come.  To be clear, I voted a straight Republican ticket.  Period.

Actually, I don’t like some of the candidates, however, in my view, they are the lesser of two evils.

Something, however, was off.  Very off.

As my wife and I walked into the polling center, at our nearby elementary school, I felt doom and gloom.  No excitement, no happy jitters, just sadness and worry.

Why?  Well, based on the November 3rd primary elections, and the mountains of evidence that votes were switched, not cast, changed and even false votes added, and all to ensure that the underdog democrat presidential challenger would be seated, I have zero confidence that my vote was even counted today.

My vote was cast on a Dominion touchscreen machine.  Printed on a Dominion operated printer and scanned by a Dominion owned and operated scanner.

As my ballot was fed into the scanner, and it unceremoniously announced, “Your Ballot Has Been Cast”, I could only wonder, “Had it?”

You see in GA, as in most states, once a ballot is cast, there is no chain of custody.  Nothing.  No way for the voter to verify their vote was actually cast as they had intended.

Sure, I can go to the GA MyVoter website and see that I have cast a ballot.  However, it does not show whom it was cast for.

No way to make sure.  Nada.  Zilch.

Advocates of this system say it protects the privacy of the voter.

No, I don’t believe that one bit.  It provides a mechanism by which an election can be stolen.

Even if you voted with an absentee ballot, which is an actual paper form, on which you check off boxes with a pen, the actual ballot has ZERO identifying information on it about who cast the ballot.  Only the outer envelope that you send the ballot in, bears your name and signature.  The two are immediately separated once received by the election commission in your county.

I consider myself a pretty good judge of character and I will say this, the poll workers at my local elementary school, where my precinct votes, were all liberal democrats.  There wasn’t a single conservative poll worker in sight.

How do I know?  As soon as they entered my driver’s license information into their computer, it obviously showed that I was a registered Republican.  Their immediate silence and looks on their faces were telling enough.

Then there was the poll worker who stood by the scanner and the one who sat at the table next to him.

I commented, “How do I know my vote was actually counted and for the correct people?”

His response, “Just scan your form.  It’ll tell you on the screen!”, along with an almost evil laugh from the one sitting at the table.

Yes, is surely did say something on the screen.  “Your Ballot Has Been Cast”, with no other information.

As I left the polling place, I felt even worse as when I had walked in.

I feel very disenfranchised.  More so, I felt that I was just cheated out of my most important duties.

Voting in a supposed free and fair election.
