LinkedIn: A “Professional Community” With a Double Standard?

Once again, LinkedIn has removed one of my posts, alleging a violation of its so-called “Professional Community Guidelines.”

Frankly, I've had enough.

While LinkedIn claims to promote a respectful and professional environment, I continue to see content that I consider openly anti-American, antisemitic, and supportive of extremist ideologies seemingly go unchallenged.

Yet other viewpoints are censored under the broad and often inconsistently applied banner of “community standards.”

A professional community should encourage respectful debate, not selectively silence opinions while tolerating hostility and hatred from others.

If LinkedIn expects its members to follow its Professional Community Guidelines, perhaps it should begin by holding itself to those same standards: fairness, consistency, transparency, and accountability.

For now, I've decided to step away from LinkedIn, possibly permanently.

Free expression and professional discourse should not depend on which side of an argument you're on.
